Our learning this week: We learned about the /wh/ digraph. This is a tricky digraph because it sounds just like /w/. We learned that /wh/ is often how we spell our question words like: what, where, when, and why. We also began learning about King Ed. This is when there is a silent e at the end of words, such as cake, bike, cone, and it make the "vowel sound say its name".  We read "Snow Globe Wishes" and thought about how sometimes wishes aren't items but things we would love to happen. We drew our wishes in our snowglobes and wrote what we wish for on the back.  We worked on an art project with our burrowing animals that we drew! We read "Over and Under the Snow" and talked about how some animals stay active over the winter time. Our art turned out nice! We continued with our holiday centres and practicing our math skills. We also spent time outside with Mother Nature and enjoyed a sit spot. This was to celebrate winter solstice. We played in the snow...
