Our learning this week:

• We focused on our last two r-controlled vowels: ir and ur. We practiced spelling using dictation in class with words that have these sounds like shirt and turn.
• We continued working on our storyboard projects and sequencing the Wild Robot events. We will use this next week to create an Ozobot project.
• We continued learning about new addition strategies. This week we focused on adding 0 and adding 1. We also learned about making Friends of 10. These are 2 numbers that make 10 such as 2+8 or 3+7.
• We learned about the importance of the Wolf, Buffalo, and Eagle to Indigenous cultures and added them to our Medicine Wheel.
• We talked about our favourite parts of the Wild Robot and built them with loose parts.
