Our learning this week:

• We learned more about different "r-controlled vowels". We focused on "or" (like in for, north, torn) and "ar" (like in words like car, far, barn).
• We worked on our storyboard project to sequence events in the Wild Robot. 
• We continued practicing our addition skills.
• We made a pictograph of the languages we speak in our classroom.
• We learned about the Medicine Wheel and each domain. We start in the yellow (the east) domain which is our spirit. From there we move clockwise to red (our heart), black (our body), and white (our mind). We began to learn about the 7 Sacred Teachings and animals that represent parts of the Medicine Wheel. We learned about the bear and how it represents courage. 
• We began to learn about movement of objects and animals. We did an art project to show what we know about straight, curvy, spiral, and zig-zag lines.
• We read with our buddies!
