- We practiced spelling our heart words and other two syllable words.
- We continued working on our comic projects! We planned out the characters, setting, problem, and solution. Then we planned out what is going to happen in each panel of our project.
- We continued working on our addition centres.
- We painted our clay projects with our buddies! Mrs. Nakaska will put them in the kiln today to fire.
- We started our new summer centres!

FREEZIES FOR PLAY DAY
On Wednesday, June 24 for Play Day, we will be providing a Mr. Freeze freezie to students. If you do NOT want your child to have a Freezie, please email your child’s homeroom teacher BEFORE the day itself and send a snack for them to have instead. If your child IS allowed to eat a freezie, no action is required on your part. (Kindergarten will have their freezie on Tuesday, June 23 during their Play Day activities.)
Mr. Freeze freezie ingredients include:
Water, glucose-fructose/sugar, citric acid, simulated flavours, sodium carboxymenthyl cellulose (stabilizer), sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (to maintain freshness), stevia extract, colour
BANNOCK MAKING
On June 18, 19 or 22 students will be participating in learning about and making Bannock. (Butter will also be provided.) Homeroom teachers will let each class know what their day is through the agenda blogs. (Please click HERE if you have not been accessing the blog to find future upcoming information.)
If you do NOT want your child to eat Bannock, please email your child’s homeroom teacher BEFORE June 18.
If your child IS allowed to eat Bannock, no action is required on your part.
We will provide a Gluten Free option for those that require Gluten Free.
(Please inform your child's homeroom teacher if your child requires the Gluten Free option.)

JUNE REPORT CARDS ONLINE
June report cards will be made available online through your MyCBE parent account on June 25 and will be available to view, download and print until July 25. After this time they will no longer be accessible via your MyCBE parent account.
Once logged in, parents, legal guardians and independent students select the “Report Card / Student Info" on left Navigation menu, then Report Card tab to view, download and save or print the report card.
ALL SCHOOL FEES NOW DUE
Before summer break, please log into your MyCBE Parent Account and check to see if you have any outstanding fees. This includes the instructional fee, lunchroom fees, transportation fees, field trip fees and lost library book fees. We truly appreciate your cooperation in clearing up any unpaid fees!
LOST ITEMS MUST BE CLAIMED BY THURSDAY, JUNE 25
ALL ITEMS, including all hats, shoes, hoodies, jackets, t-shirts, water bottles, lunch kits, etc. that are not claimed by families prior to Thursday, June 25 will be donated to Goodwill. If your child is missing something, you can come by the office any time between 8:30 – 4:30 during the next two weeks to search the Lost and Found. There are currently over 200 items.
