May 19-22, 2026

Our learning this week:

  • We spent so much time with our gosling, Brightbill! We also found out that Brightbill got some friends over the weekend! Since Brightbill was our only gosling that hatched out of our four eggs, we adopted 2 ducklings to keep him company. We have Stormy (who has stripes on his head) and Pepper (who is smaller and grey).
  • We got to feed them, see them swim, hold them, and observe them! We will really miss Brightbill, Stormy and Pepper and we really loved spending time with them!!!
  • We've continued to learn about our sunflowers, observe and measure our sunflowers, and explore sunflower themed centres! Ask me how tall my sunflower is!
  • We also made some sunflower art with chalk pastels.

What an action-packed night at our Superheroes-Themed Family Dance! Before we announce our lucky door prize winners, we want to send a HUGE, SUPERCHARGED THANK YOU to the incredible parents who planned and organized this unforgettable event, the teachers who volunteered their time, the three Grade Five Leadership students who made and handed out the felt masks, and the North Trail Leadership Students who ran the stations and helped out throughout the event. All their superpowers made it all possible! 💥💫
