LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION SERVICES
We help students and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. We help you get to know our schools and our system, and to feel at home with us.
You can request an interpreter to help you communicate effectively in a Parent/Teacher Conference or any other meeting with a teacher or CBE staff if you are a parent or guardian. Having an interpreter at a meeting will improve everyone’s understanding of the discussion. There is no cost to families for language interpretation services.
For more information on this service, please visit the CBE Interpretation and Translations Services webpage.

- We practiced new heart words this week. They were: as, has, and have. We learned that the 's' sounds make 'z' sounds in these words!
- We wrote about what we might see in a secret garden! You can read you child's writing at their conference time.
- We have been practicing skip-counting. We have focused on skip-counting by 2s to 20 with increased fluency. Please practice these skills at home! We have also been focusing on representing numbers to 20 in different ways.
- We finished our culture collage this week! We had so much fun celebrating each other's culture.
- We searched for information in books about geese and bears this week. We looked for evidence that helped us understand what they eat, what their habitat is, and how they prepare for winter. We also watched our Indigenous focused November Moon video to see what animals were doing in November!
